We trekked down to the Makapu'u tidepools for a short hike & swim. It was scary going down & it took me twice the time to go down as it did to come back up (I'm such a scaredy cat). Below is a picture of the tide pools about mid way through the trek down.

On the way to the tidepools we passed the blowholes which was weird because we had watched Fool's Gold the night before.
