My first baseball game

I have to thank to Josh for raising his hand numerous times during the Hanahauoli auction because the entire trip was amazing, especially the Giants game!
Pre-game beers at 21st Amendment, enjoying some watermelon beers.

We went down to the dug outs and watched the players.

Enjoying the air conditioning in the secret restaurants and bars for our level.

We got to see the players walk out of the locker room & into the stadium.

View from our seats behind the Giants dugout. Awesome seats, 5th row.

It was SO hot! Cooling off with some wet paper towels, pretty resourceful Robyn Sera!
We got back to the room & ordered some snacks from room service, only in San Fran can you order Dim sum.
The next morning, we went on a trolley ride down to the wharf. I remember it being a lot cooler when I was a kid, it was really slow. Josh hung off the side & I think he had a better time than I did.

Josh reading "Stuff White People Like" while I shopped in Urban Outfitters.
Look it's Nick Cage in The Rock, it was playing on TNT in our hotel room!

Golden Gate Park

We spent the afternoon walking around Golden Gate Park, it was a perfect day! We found a Dahlia garden in full bloom, come on Cec aren't these pretty?!
We went to the Conservatory of Flowers, I had read about it before going. My dream job would be to work here, it's so amazing.
A type of orchid...

Carnivorous plant eating Josh for lunch.

We are fond of the sea life on paddle yachts/boats, reminds us of our honeymoon in Italy & paddling around the coast of the Cinque Terre on a paddle boat with a slide...flashback to the SS ravioli.
Not as fancy as our paddle yacht in Italy, but we boarded the SS Papa Smurf for a relaxing paddle around Stow Lake. The captain was fueled with an It's It ice cream sandwich.

We saw Wicked and it was outstanding. It's a must see! Even Josh liked it.
My husband spoils me, we had such great seats!

SAN FRAN

We spent 4 action packed days in San Fran!
The busy street of Chinatown. Josh really wanted me to buy some clothes in the Asian Image boutique.

On Saturday, we went down to the Ferry terminal to check out the Farmer's Market & ate breakfast on the water at Mijita.

At the Terminal there was a Livestrong bike race where bikers on their trainers raced another group in New York. They were also there to promote Lance's new cycing team The Shack. Too bad Lance wasn't there :(
Another exciting event we stumbled upon was the Filipino pride parade right in front of our hotel!
Look it's Ms.Charity 2007 & Mother of the year! Mother of the year looks like she could use a ride on a float, she's looking a little tired.

!!!

I love to garden, especially taking in sick plants and making them bloom. Josh wasn't too happy when I made him take this picture. I needed him as a reference, he's 6ft 2". Josh bought this plant when he first moved here 6 1/2 years ago & he almost killed it. The plant was so tiny, but look at it now! I even split it to make 2 plants.

I got our orchids to bloom again!! I don't know how, but they are beautiful.

Pretty!

Miso the new face of Josh's company, the feline division. Josh wasn't too happy that his new eco friendly grocery bag had Miso fur all over it. It later ended up in the trash. Why can't those two just get along?

Papa

My Grandfather Clarence Sugihara MD, was an amazing person & we celebrated his life with family & good food! He lived a full 95 years & we will miss him.

In May, we celebrated Papa's 95th birthday at Shokudo. It was our last family gathering at a restaurant.

Birthday buddies!

I had a great birthday & received wonderful birthday wishes from near & far. I am so blessed to have such a great family & friends! Marley picked Farrell's restaurant to torture me on my birthday. I was forced to smile when the waiters sang & clapped for us. At least I got a free sundae out of the deal.

The best gift I ever received was on my 25th birthday, my sister gave birth to Marley on my birthday!! Shucks, I might have just given away my age...

I got Marley a lucky #7 for her charm bracelet. Oh my gosh, this means there are 7 charms on her bracelet, jeez time flies.

scavenger hunt

We fulfilled my cousin Cec's dream of doing the Raven's Chase, a scavenger hunt around Honolulu. On the website it said we would be driving around the island, so we rented this 15 passenger van. Turns out the whole scavenger hunt was downtown & required walking. We don't recommend this adventure, it was not witty. I was expecting some sort of Goonies adventure. The cousins and the Van...

Dipping the magic paper into the water at the state capital to reveal our next clue. Ew, Stace where is the hand sanitizer?

We got bored and stopped in for a beer at Gordon Biersch.

On top of the Aloha tower, I've never been up there before.

Searching for the next clue.
We got some W&M burgers & decided to make use of the van & went geocaching. This was the coolest geocache we've ever found, it was a two part cache & you had to use the fishing pole to find it.

Josh was found this hard one. We found all the caches, but one. Maybe next time?
