Ahoy matey! Amber's getting Marrrrried.

OMG watch out for these nasty pirates, argggh! We picnicked in the park & then went on a sunset catamaran for Amber's bridal shower out in Ko Olina. It was an amazing sunset & we were able to see spinner dolphins.

Hannah PokeMontana Bday party

Marley had her Hannah Pokemontana Bday party at the paint your own pottery store. She loves Hannah Montana, but didn't want the boys to feel left out so she included pokemon into her theme. She is such the little party planner! Marc made the invitations & all the goodie favor boxes, very cool.

Marley & one of her many boyrfriends. My sister says she likes the nerdy types, lets hope she still likes them when she gets older. He's totally checking her out.

H2Opark

We ventured out to the water park with the Nieces & Michele. It was a cultural experience & I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. Most of those kids out there could beat me up. FYI on the Shaka keep your butt up, I think I left some skin on that ride, T.M.I right?

7-16

7-16 Marley (6) & my bday (31)! My Mom made my favorite Shepard's pie for dinner! Marley was thrilled to get a makeup kit, dress up clothes, a bike, Barbie stuff...the list goes on. I just wanted gardening shears & an ipod alarm clock, how boring am I?
Shepard's pie is my favorite dish, but only when my Mom makes it. I can't help it my mom's white, I love pot roast, gravy & mashed potatoes!

Maya, Marley & Macie enjoying dinner.

I told Josh not to get me anything for my birthday, so he addressed all my gifts to Claude, Marmaduke, Schmitty & Doris. My husband is one Funny guy!

Josh's parents sent me some fun gifts including monkey bucks! Cathy wrote a note attached to a gift- "from one Mrs. Stinson to another who is engaged in the ongoing battle with bacon" Hee hee...

Miyashiros are finally home

Stace & Ryan moved home after being away for 16 years +. We had a family gathering at my parent's house to welcome them home from Seattle. I had an idea to make a cake with cocktail umbrellas, but Marc took it to the extreme & whipped up this cake. He used things out of my Mom's pantry, he's like the guy on Ace of Cakes.

Big Granny gave Marley a check for her birthday & Marley told everyone she was going to buy lots of makeup with it. I am sure Marley wasn't happy when she found out it was deposited in her college fund.
Eating outside & enjoying Hawaiian Food from Yamas, YUMMY!

Lisa got hitched!

Lisa & Daryl got hitched! (Lisa is the mother of my ring bearer & my sister's best friend from high school.) It was a beautiful day at the Hale Koa. Here is a pic of my Dad, he is using a cane due to an injury he sustained during one of his black belt karate tournaments. *Joke...as my grandfather says "Don't get old!". My Dad tore the meniscus in his knee & don't ask him how because it "just happened all of the sudden". My poor Jerbear has had to endure people at work asking him if he's had a stroke. I'm just hoping he'll be fixed by the next Dancing with the Stars season, the nieces love to dance with him.

One of these girls must marry Kikaha & the other will marry DJ ofcourse.

Marley directed us on how to pose for this picture & made us take off our sunglasses.

My sister the Matron of honor & the parental units.

The centerpieces were bonsai plants that Daryl planted as seedlings in December. Who does this? There were 36 of them, can you imagine their backyard. Daryl is such a sweet guy, Lisa got herself a winner!

Ba-bye

Dr. Won is moving back to the mainland so the doctors & few of us nurses threw a pupu & drink going away party at Chai's Bistro. It was fun to hangout with everyone outside of the hospital, especially sans scrubs. Josh was surprised we were able to talk about other things than medicine. Good times!

Me & my favorite party girl Jeanne!

Farewell shot & toast for Dr. Won.

Take Back the Tour?

The tour has started! Wonder who gets kicked out this year for doping? This is the video of all the guys who have been kicked out for doping in previous years. Could they have picked any cheesier music? Yippee, it's my first sucessful video blog!

What's SUP?

Sunday we went up to the North Shore for some stand up paddling & played in the waves. We picked up our boards alittle late & the lady ended up giving Josh the adjustable paddle. Doesn't it look like he's cleaning a pool? He wasn't too happy with the paddle & it taught us to get in early to pick up our boards next time.

Round 3/4 of the Island tour

Saturday after 4th of July we were feeling adventurous & decided to go on a drive around the island. Our first stop was Costco to get the "Oahu Revealed" book. Then we ate at Taco Del Mar & contemplated if we should just go home & take a nap since we were still in the HK, but resisted the temptation & left the comfort of our HK bubble. We drove around Waimanalo into Kailua & then around Kaneohe Bay. We stopped at Hei'ia state park & took some pixs, below is a veiw of kaneohe bay & chinaman's hat. Our next stop was the art gallery in Kahaluu. We stopped to get ice cold coconut at a roadside fruit stand & met a CRAZZZY lady. Josh thinks when times get rough she uses the baggies to sell other goods. She was trying to convince us that lilikoi was a type of traquilizer & that we'd have a mellow day if we ate it. Huh? We did feel sorry for her & purchased her coconut macaroons & as we were leaving she told us they would last for 3 weeks. EW, then how long did she have them sitting out on the counter? Check out our sweet hats brah, so local.

On our way to Kualoa we stopped at Coral Kingdom because neither of us had been before & we decided we would each pick out a trinket for Fonse (lucky her). When we opened the door we were greeted with a overwhelming smell of stale hamburgers & tourists. Total disappointment. It was like a burger shop, maui divers & ABC store all rolled into one, but really rundown. The sale clerks were all Japanese, like ESL type. Where do they all live out there? We were so bothered by all the tourists that we ended up putting back the small tiki doll & piece of coral for Fonse & left. I really think if coral kingdom sold some of their own wares (i.e. koozies) they would make a killing.

We stopped at Uncle Bobo's southern BBQ in Kaaawa & had a meat fiesta! So Ono! We could barely finish this between the two of us. We ate over at the beachpark & enjoyed watching the fishermen

We then headed out to Laie point after seeing it in "the book" & were amazed at the sight. We witnessed a guy swimming off the cliff get stuck between the rocks & wasn't able to get out. Words can't convey the stupidity of the situation, he was in the shallow end of the gene pool. It was one of those moments that if something had gone wrong you ask yourself if you would really go into save him. Luckily for us he managed to get out.

We drove around to Kahuku & stopped at a random collectables shop. Josh got an old Hawaii License plate to put up in the garage. We made a stop at Josh's favorite Ted's bakery to get slices of pie, YUM! We ate over at Ehukai beach, went swimming & enjoyed watching the toursits get pounded by the shore break. So mean I know, but it was hilarious!

Last stop- Haleiwa Joes for a tropical drink! On our way home we saw a rainbow in Kunia & it was great end to a great day. We hope to make it to the West side soon so we can finish our round the island tour. Stay tuned...
