Fonseland

We went up to Oregon to visit Fonsey, Thad & Ziggy over the Labor day weekend. It was a short trip but, we were able to fit a lot of fun times in. I was just excited to see Fonse & the little Ziggy bump, so cute! I can't wait for my fonse-ephew to be born.  Below is a group shot of us at McMeinamans.  We enjoyed some cajun tater tots & beers, nice way to start off vah-kay.
The Lairds took us for a yachting adventure, it was amazing that Josh & I fit into one boat.  The water was freezing!  Here we are loading up the "Destiny's Child", Josh named our boat.
Loving the life of leisure.
Ah-hoy Lairds!   Look Mister came along for the ride too.

We went to the Lairds for a BBQ & to discuss foods that we could 'Jun'.  Spam won...
Posing with Mister, Josh's new friend.
Thad & Josh went mountain biking while we stayed in town & shopped.

Josh getting on his sweet bike..
There goes Thad.

Josh reunites with his best friends, fries & beer at the brewery.
We went on a short hike to walk off all the calories we had consumed.  We were on the hunt for some wildlife, but only saw some animal footprints.

Warming up by the fire at our Inn.
I decided to get in on the action & went mountain biking with Josh.  It was beautiful & I got to be one with nature.

M&M show

Should Marley or Marcie ever ask you if you want to see their "show" be prepared... After dinner at my parent's house we all gathered & watched the M&M's show. Macie started off shouting "who wants to parrrrty?"  Here is a peak at the dancing divas show.

Anyone recognize the music? It's from the old Hawaii kid show Mokulana.
The girls love their dance classes & it shows.

It's Greek to me

Pass this lady another glass of Ouzo! We went to the Greek Festival down at the McCoy Pavillion in Ala Moana beach park. They rarely hold events in the McCoy pavillion so I like to go when they do because it's beautiful inside. We stuffed ourselves with baklava & spanklopita, yum! I love Greek food. Who knew there were so many Greeks in Hawaii. There was a live Greek band & we enjoyed watching people attempt Greek dancing...omg I am so mean.

I can fly

Kehau (the MC at our wedding) & I went parasailing off of Moanalua bay. That's not really us in the picture, but I wanted to take a pic of the happy face. We finished off the day at The Shack with some fried food & beer. Great day... glad we both live in the HK bubble.

turtle bay..

View from our room was beautiful.

Before we went swimming we walked around on the beach & found salt. Josh tasted it, but I was too chicken. It looked gross.

Wedding bells!

Brittney & Matt got hitched out at Turtle Bay this past weekend (yeah ,excuse to stay at Turtle Bay). We've been waiting for them to get married for years, Brittney is my good friend from work who swore she would never get married. She is my 1 degree separation from Bella Korolyi & Dominque Moceanu because Brittney used to be a star gymnast in Ohio until she got hurt.
We were late getting out there, but were able to take this picture of the ceremony on our way down to the beach.
My crazy friend Alana brought the couple some 40 oz beers & "crunk goblets". I am sure Matt & Brittney's parents were confused. Josh & I made Matt pour some out for his homeys & so that he didn't have to drink the whole thing.

The crazy Stinsons...looking pretty good for getting ready in 15minutes.
Hee hee, Kehau wanted to take a picture like in Say Anything (graduation scene).
My awesome friends from work. We look pretty good out of scrubs?!
My brother in law Marc made the cake/cupcake topper & it turned out SOO cute! Look at the doggie & Ohio state flag.
Britt gave us swag, we got koozies & this lip balm that said "Matt & Brittney R the balm". The favors were yummy Auntie Nalani's cookies.
Before the bar closed we stocked up on some drinks...it was a late night if you can't tell. Good thing we stayed at the hotel & were able to walk to our room. After the reception we all headed to the hotel bar & played shuffleboard & darts.
I know it's spelled wrong, but we all loved that the dart board said Brittany.

article

Jer Bear (my Dad-Jared Sugihara) was quoted in the Star Bulletin yesterday. Sad article, wish everyone would start taking care of themselves. Dearth of dialysis beds 'serious'.

SUP with Pat & Cathy

A few weeks ago while the Sherpa (AKA Josh's parents) were visiting we took them stand up paddling on the North Shore. They were really good & got the hang of it right away, we were impressed. After a day at the beach we hit Aoki's for shave ice, YUM! We miss the Sherpa...but I know they will be back because I have them addicted to The Salmon Bowl at Shokudo.

Carson is crawling!!

Last week the nephews came over for dinner while Josh's parents were in town for a visit. Jack loved the ice cream bars we had for desert. What a cutie! Carson is on the move, the little LOST star is crawling. I wonder if I can charge the papzo for this clip.

1 gallon less

Doesn't he look like he got student of the month or something? I'm such a dork & made Josh pose for this picture. I'm so proud of him because he has donated a gallon of blood! What a hero. They have blood drives at his office & he likes to race his friends to see who can fill up the bag the fastest. gross.

just a Marley thought...

Reason #1.5 gazillion I love my niece: So at dinner last night I sat next to Marley & she told me she wanted to live on an island made of Cake Noodle.  OMG, bring it on Marley because I am going to be your neighbor on cake noodle island. She is a genius!  So if anyone knows a realtor on cake noodle island I am interested in buying some property.

Makaiau wedding

Amber & Jarad finally tied the knot & held their reception at La Pietra school. It was a great night with authentic Hawaiian food made by Jarad's family & entertainment by John Cruz & Holonapue. I had the pleasure to do the BAAAAANZAAAAI & was proud of myself for yelling out in front of 300 people with a Japanese bandana on. I was a true kamakazee!
Amber & I have gone to school together & been friends since we were 4.
Thanks Ann for letting me use this pix. I think I was too busy with the video camera.

I had Opihi for the first time. Interesting flavor, I think I need to try it again.

John Cruz played & people came up & improvised their own "Island Style" verse...it was hilarious. I'll try to put some videos on the blog, but I'm really SLOW at getting things updated.

.
I hope Ann makes Jarad's dream come true of being in the Punahou Bulletin.

We stayed at the W so that we didn't have to drive home. Josh enjoying breakfast the next morning, thank GOD for room service!
